The Advisory Council (AC) serves at the discretion of the President to provide guidance and support to the DCPBK Association Board. Typically, the AC is composed of three experienced former Board members who actively participate in Board meetings but without exercising management or fiduciary responsibilities. They advise on the history and procedures of the Association and may also contribute the following on an as-needed basis: design and support to programs such as the High School Awards, Mentorship, Young Professionals, etc.; choice of annual activities and speakers; submissions to the monthly newsletter; recruitment of new members; service on committees; fundraising; representation for the Association at PBK or academic ceremonies and events; any other request by the President.
