Andrew L. Steigman, advisory member of the D.C. Area PBK Association, from Bethesda, Maryland, recently retired as Associate Dean at the School of Foreign Service, Georgetown University, where he worked with the undergraduate program and taught a course on international negotiation.  His previous career in the Foreign Service included overseas posts in the Congo, Libya, France, and Nigeria, and as Ambassador to Gabon and to Sao Tome and Principe.   Andy, a summa cum laude graduate of Princeton University and a Fulbright Scholar at the London School of Economics, has published a book and several articles on diplomacy and has lectured widely on history and international relations in the United States, Africa, and Eastern Europe, and continues to lecture two or three times a year on leading cruise ships. We regret to announce that Ambassador Steigman unexpectedly passed away following a stroke in September, 2018.
