David MacDonald, Executive Committee Member, has held several positions at the D.C. Area Phi Beta Kappa Association, including President, First Vice President and Chair of the High School Awards Program. Inducted into Phi Beta Kappa in 2009 from the University of Chicago, he received his Master’s degree in International Affairs with concentrations in China Studies and International Economics from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) in Washington, D.C. He previously served as a Fulbright Research Fellow in China and now works on international science and technology issues at the U.S. Department of State with a focus on East Asia and South Asia.
