Samantha Witte, Fundraising Coordinator for the D.C. Area PBK Association, from Munich, Germany, is a consultant with the World Bank’s Energy & Extractives Global Practice while pursuing her PhD in Economics at the University of Oxford. Having graduated from the School of Oriental and African Studies with First Class Honors, she completed her Masters degree in International Relations and Economics at the School of Advanced International Studies of Johns Hopkins University in 2015, during which she joined the Bank to work on energy economics before moving into her current role in power sector reform in developing countries. She was inducted as a Phi Beta Kappa member in 2015, and has in her spare time served in leadership and fundraising positions for development projects including Global Brigades SOAS and the Greenheart Project.
