Guest Policy
DCPBK events and programs are open to any and all who wish to attend, regardless of membership status.
Members may participate in most events and programs for free, with the exception of annual events and anniversary parties. Since these events incur additional expenses for the organization and necessarily require us to limit the headcount, members are charged a nominal ticket price to help defray costs and ensure adequate attendance. Members who wish to bring non-member guests to DCPBK events and programs should register themselves through the member ticket on the event registration page, and their guests (including significant others, children, family members, friends, coworkers, etc.) through the nonmember ticket on the event registration page.
Nonmembers are welcome to attend all events and programs, (including our annual events and anniversary parties), but in most cases will be charged a higher ticket price than members to offset the expenses and/or labor incurred by DCPBK. Please use the nonmember ticket on the event registration page and remit payment in order to participate.
For each event or program in which you’d like to participate, we ask members and nonmembers alike to confirm attendance by registering on the relevant event registration page for tracking and event notification purposes.
Refund Policy
One of the cornerstones of DCPBK’s mission is to provide enriching events and programs for our members using the proceeds generated by annual member dues and ticket prices. Therefore, all registrations and payments are final, with the following exceptions:
- Event cancellations due to inclement weather
- Event cancellations by a third party host (e.g. a museum or venue)
- Registration cancellations by members facing personal emergencies
